Pet Friendly Hotels in Vegas

Caesars petsWondering if you can bring your dog to Las Vegas? The answer is yes. Several hotels, including Caesars properties are now offering to take your pet while you stay in Vegas. This doggy resort called PetStay sounds pretty cool; we will have to try it with the company dog.

Caesars Palace, Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino and Imperial Palace in Las Vegas are rolling out the red carpet for traveling dogs, with the launch of PetStay, the resort’s new pet-friendly hotel program. Guests participating in the PetStay program are greeted by several canine-friendly in-room amenities including a mat, food and water dishes (a full continental breakfast for your little buddy when yours comes in the morning if you want even – but can dogs eat oranges even), disposable waste bags, dog treats and all sorts of pet products & supplies are available should you need them. Caesars Palace, Rio All Suite Hotel Casino and Imperial Palace each host a designated PetStay area within the hotel, equipped with welcome packets that direct guests to outdoor relief areas and dog walking routes as well as specialty room service menus. Additional information about dog-friendly items for purchase and nearby dog services (such as grooming, walking and veterinary care) is available upon check-in at each of the participating resorts.

Policy

Caesars Palace, Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino and Imperial Palace have the following pet policy: Dogs staying at any of the three hotels must weigh 50 pounds or less and be present at the time of check- in. Up to 2 dogs per room are allowed. Dogs are permitted to walk through designated common areas while on a leash and accompanied by the owner.

Hotel room rates for owners traveling with a dog are competitively priced at a $25 per night upgrade for designated pet-friendly hotel accommodations in the Augustus Tower at Caesars Palace; a $20 per night upgrade applies to similar accommodations at Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino and Imperial Palace.

World’s Largest Margarita is Jimmy Buffett’s Lucky Rita

The “Lucky Rita” at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville has 2,125 gallons of tequila, 708 gallons of triple sec, 5,667 gallons of mix, and 22,267 limes, making it the world’s largest hand-made margarita according to the Guiness Book of World Records. This time, however, the Tropicana in Las Vegas is offering a special deal that really works against the whole “I lost all my money at the slots” thing–if you stand in line to get a free Tropicana player’s card, there’s a +EV promotion where you can play $200 in slots or video poker, and if you lose, you get an immediate $100 back in freeplay, with $100 more in freeplay if you come back 30 days or later. It’s like breaking even, if you have the discipline and time to come back. You must walk to the player’s club and insert your card immediately into the kiosk after you lose. There’s no marker to keep track of your remaining $100, so be sure to keep track of your pulls or hands. Vegas Venetian Hotel Sues Tea Party Nation of Tennesee for $642,000

If we got a hotel bill in the sum of $642,144, we’d be a little concerned, regardless of how swanky the hotel we stayed at was. In this instance, however, the Venetian hotel owner Las Vegas Sands says the Tea Party Nation of Tennesee reserved 1,637 room nights in the hotel for the period of July 14-18, then postponed and later cancelled their event, which is where the bulk of the fee comes from. The Tea Party Nation of Tennesee cited a lack of people willing to pay for the $399 weekend pass ($125 per day). The bill also includes an 18% interest charge of $87,996. The Venetian includes a great variety of amenities and perks, and should you choose to stay there (and not cancel), we’ve got all the information for you HERE.

We recently ran across some interesting deals in Las Vegas, and now that it’s summer and vacation time for many, we had to share them. We have also included some Promo Codes to use and double down on your fun! Most of these are on the Strip:

Food:
-Lagasse’s Stadium at the Palazzo has happy hour with $3 beers and $5 appetizers from 3-7 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays.
-Mario Batali restaurants at the Palazzo and The Venetian give locals with ID 20 percent off their checks when they dine at Carnevino at the Palazzo or at B&B Ristorante in The Venetian, available through August.

Drinks:
-The Palazzo and The Venetian offer Bar Hop, where customers pay $75 for unlimited drinks at all hotel lounges, including Laguna Champagne Bar, Salute Lounge, La Scena Lounge, Fusion Latin Mixology Bar and Oculus (noon-midnight daily).
