Las Vegas Hotels – The Hangover Suites at Caesars

Hangover Suite Vegas, Vegas Hangover, Caesars

Ever since the movie The Hangover became a smash hit in 2009, Caesars Palace in Vegas has been bombarded with requests to stay at the suite Stu, Phil, and company stayed at (and wrecked) in the movie. Now, those requests will be fulfilled. What was once only a movie set is now a reality in the form of 16 two-story suites appropriately dubbed “The Hangover Suites.” You’ll have to pay up, (another famous suite is the Forum Tower Emperor Suite, where the movie Rain Man was filmed in 1988), but you’ll get 2,900 square feet, two master bedrooms, two full baths, and a powder room, all of which are ridiculously fancy, just like the movie.

If you aren’t quite sure you can afford the full Hangover experience, Caesars does offer the Hangover Again hotel package, where guests get a $50 food and beverage credit with a two-night stay, and rates for that package are only $100 per night. Caesars was also the first property to have Hangover slot machines on the casino floor. Regardless of taste and wallet, Caesars will offer the Vegas Hangover experience of a lifetime. You can also save up to 50% Off at Ceasers Palace Las Vegas. Also, don’t forget to check out our Nightclub Guide while you’re there so that your night out rivals The Hangover!

Best Vegas Buffet Deal

Best Deal for Buffet in Vegas

Best Vegas Buffet Deal

The best Vegas buffet deal in town has to be the “Buffet of “Buffets” For only $44.99 you can eat at 7 of the Vegas best buffets in town at any time within a 24 hour period.

We have done the countless times. Imagine eating anytime you want, any buffet you want, as many times as you want in 24 hours.

Here is how we do it to get the most bang for our buck. Buy your buffet pass at dinner, that way you can eat two dinners. Dinner is the most expensive buffet. Some times the price can vary by $10 between Breakfast and dinner. Your meal plan would look like this: Dinner (night 1), Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (night 2).

Our personal favorite if the Rio Buffet Carnival World Buffet.  The Rio’s Buffet is just so big, it has something for everyone.  We completely agree that the food sometimes lacks, but you can always get something else.  If you want something upscale try the Le Village Buffet at Paris Las Vegas.  If you want food that is prepared really well, go to the Spice Market Buffet.  If you want Sea Food and we mean a lot of it, piles and piles of Lobster Tail spend the extra $15 and go the the Village Seafood Buffet at the Rio.

Don’t forget you can stop by a buffet just to grab a quick bite between meals. This pas is good for as many visits you like during business hours.

Make sure you are a Total Rewards member. If not, stop at any Caesars Las Vegas Properties, including, Harrah’s. Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, Paris Las Vegas, Imperial Palace, Rio Las Vegas and of course Caesars Palace. The price does go up if you are not a Total Rewards Member.

Vegas Ferris Wheel Approved

COURTESY COMPASS INVESTMENTS The Skyvue Las Vegas Super Wheel is planned for Las Vegas Boulevard and Mandalay Bay Road

COURTESY COMPASS INVESTMENTS The Skyvue Las Vegas Super Wheel is planned for Las Vegas Boulevard and Mandalay Bay Road

Clark County unanimously approved the 500 foot Ferris wheel and theme park.  The Vegas Ferris Wheel will be constructed across from the Mandalay Bay.  The complex will cover 10 acres at Las Vegas Boulevard and Mandalay Bay road.

The new facility may feature a roller coaster and six additional rides, a 140,000 sq ft retail complex and a 21,000 sq ft conference center. The site has a total of 38 acres.

Howard Bulloch of Compass Investments states that the estimated will be in excess of $100 million.  Also, the FAA has given initial approval for the wheel, but has not yet signed off on the final plan.

A temporary 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel would be erected first and replaced with the full-sized sky wheel.

The Ferris wheel would have 40 heated and air-conditioned gondolas, that hold up to 25 people.  The gondolas will have an amazing  panoramic views, food and drinks.  We are not sure if there will be adult beverages, but considering this is the Vegas Ferris our bet will be yes.  A gondola would take half an hour to rotate

The Skyvue Wheel in Vegas may have some competition.  Caesars Entertainment was planning “Linq” a $500 million entertainment, retail area that includes another Ferris wheel.  Caesars Ferris wheel complex will run between the Imperial Palace and the Flamingo, which we think will be a tight squeeze.  Bulloch said he is aware of Caesars’ plans. but whoever builds a sky wheel first wins, he said.

Commissioner Lawrence Weekly said it would provide entertainment to children, something lacking in the Las Vegas valley.  Our concern is that Vegas is trying to be the Vegas of the 90’s and making Vegas a kid friendly place.  We have seen too many children wandering around the casinos in Vegas, while there parents are gambling.

Harrah’s Las Vegas to pay down debt

Harrah’s Entertainment announced today it plans to offer $720 million in a private offering of new eight-year notes as the gaming company looks to decrease its debt load.

Second-quarter earnings announced earlier this year, Harrah’s said its Las Vegas revenue fell 19.2 percent compared to the second quarter of 2008, from $873.1 million to $705.2 million. That contributed to an overall 12.7 percent decline in quarterly revenue for the world’s largest casino operator, from $2.602 billion in 2008’s second quarter to $2.271 billion in the 2009 second quarter. 9 (Las Vegas Sun)

Hurt by the recession, its operating profit worldwide fell from $469.8 million in the 2008 quarter to $416.7 million in the 2009 quarter.

The Rooms at Harrah’s properties are at an all time low, but after looking over the room rates, why doesn’t it feel like it? I checked into a Room at Caesars Palace for a weekend and the rate was over $750.

Caesars Palace Shooting

Las Vegas Caesars Palace was the place of another shooting. It happened around 4am August 4th in the Caesars Palace Garage near the elevators.

The shooting took place over an argument. A man was knocked to the ground during an fistfight, got up went to get a gun came back and shot the two, one in the knee and the other twice in the arm. The shooting victims were treated and released from University Medical Center.

There have been two shootings in one month’s time, the last one occurred at Las Vegas Hotel NYNY.

What is happening in Las Vegas? The news media was very slow to release this information just like the bomb at the Luxor and the NYNY shootings. I understand that Vegas lives on the tourists money and want to keep bad press to a minimum, but this press is really bad. I have been reading other Blogs and reviewing other “casts” and they are throwing a fit. (disclaimer) not all Blogs or “Casts”. Vegas is a town just like other towns, what makes it that way are the people. No amount of security can be everywhere all the time.

I still feel safe in Vegas. “If you don’t start nothing there will be nothing.”
